Keto Mozzarella Sticks
These delicious keto mozzarella sticks are a tasty snack and perfect for satisfying any carb cravings you might have! The psyllium husk coats the sticks and makes them crispy, while the hemp seeds add a nutty flavor to this iconic cheese appetizer.
Psyllium Husks are great for binding a wide variety of ingredients together. Psyllium husk is a soluble fiber that absorbs 10 times its weight in water. It blends well with flax seeds, olive oil and hemp seeds.
The result of this product is a crispy and delicious snack. Be sure to serve them with low-carb ketchup for a delicious keto treat!
Ingredients:
10 OZ Block Mozzarella
¼ Cup Psyllium Husk
½ Cup Hemp Seeds
¼ Cup Almond Flour
2 Eggs
Coconut Oil for frying
Directions for keto mozzarella sticks:
- Cut the block of mozzarella into 12 sticks.
- In a bowl beat 2 eggs. In another, add psyllium, hemp seeds and almond flour.
- Coat the sticks in the egg, then the dry mixture. Freeze until solid (about 40 minutes). Repeat and freeze again.
- Heat 1/4 cup of coconut oil and fry the sticks until crisp and browned.
- Drain and serve with low-carb ketchup.
