This low carb fried cabbage with peppers recipe could easily be added as a side dish to any meat or chicken dish. It’s usually takes some time to cook but I think it’s really good to have. Make it in advance and keep in the fridge for a few days.

  • 300 g shredded cabbage
  • 100 g mixed peppers cut into strips
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • salt pepper to taste
  • oil for frying


  • Heat oil in the large deep skillet or stockpot
  • Add cabbage and cook and stir for about 10 min
  • Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder
  • Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for about 20 min
  • Stir in peppers and continue simmer for 10-15 min until ready
