Low Carb Slow Cooked Sauerkraut with Beef

No doubts sauerkraut one of the best fermented foods along with kimchi, kombucha and kefir. Try this easy slow cooker low carb slow cooked sauerkraut with beef recipe to take advantage of sauerkraut benefits. This recipe also can be made on the stove if you don’t have slow cooker.

Ingredients:
  • 500 g Sauerkraut
  • 200g White Cabbage shredded
  • 900 g Beef Mince
  • 100 gram chopped tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 Tsp sweetener of your choice (optional)
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • 2 cups of water
Instructions for sauerkraut with beef:
  1. Brown beef over medium heat
  2. Drain sauerkraut and place into slow cooker
  3. Add beef, shredded cabbage, tomatoes and water
  4. Cook on HIGH settings for about 5 hours.
  5. After 4 hours add chopped garlic, sweetener and season with salt and pepper if required.
