If you ever tried low carb diet before then you definitely came across cheese crisps recipe. Almost with zero carbs them strong enough to use for dipping and filling and them so crunchy. Great alternative for potato crisps. In this recipe I using them for taco shells.

If you ever tried low carb diet before then you definitely came across cheese crisps recipe. Almost with zero carbs them strong enough to use for dipping and filling and them so crunchy. Great alternative for potato crisps. In this recipe I using them for taco shells.

Ingredients
  

  • 350 g ground beef
  • 1 medium stalk celery
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp taco seasoning or make your own
  • 50 g red onions
  • 100 g passata or canned tomatoes
  • 150 g grated cheddar cheese
  • sea salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil for frying
  • herbs for serving optional

Instructions
 

Taco mince

  • Heat oil in the frying pan
  • Add beef and brown it
  • Add chopped vegetables and passata
  • Cook for 10-15 minutes
  • Add taco seasoning and salt and cook for 5 more minutes

Cheese shells

  • Cut a piece of baking paper to fit your microwave dish
  • Place 1/9 of cheese in the middle and microwave on full power for about 2 minutes or until slightly brown (time vary depends on microwave)
  • Take it out and form a shell
  • Leave to cool down
  • Repeat steps for each shell
  • Fill shells with taco mince
  • Sprinkle with mayo and herbs
  • Serve and enjoy!
